4th of July

Jaxson loves swimming, talks about it all the time!  We went to visit Jason's dad at the hotel when he was in town on business, but he spent most of his time running around outside of the pool. :) He loved it though and is begging to go back to swim at the hotel with his Papa!

Harvest is over! And so we headed to see my family this past weekend. Their dog, Miley, had her puppies two weeks ago and they are SO adorable!! My favorite is a little girl, she's gray and white with little spots on her face, her coloring is just beautiful. I tried to trade Daisy for her but no luck. ;) Poor Daisy, we love her but she can be quite challenging when we are at my parents! She chases the other dogs and the cats constantly.

Trying to find his tail.

Here is the pretty girl!
We went to my sister's new house in Cimarron to shoot fireworks Saturday night but others in town were shooting them off and Jaxson freaked out like he did last year. Death grip on my neck, buries his face, and puts himself in a "coma" tries to block out everything and sleep through it. So we didn't shoot anything off. The next day we tried again out at my parents, it was only us and we were able to control it and do smaller, quieter fireworks which went over much, MUCH better! He asked to go inside a couple times but also said he was having alot of fun a few times! He really likes the sparklers and snappers.

Jaxson and my brother, Brice's, girlfriend, Caitlyn.  He loves her!  She graduated college in May and is teaching preschool at a daycare in Dodge.  She is a natural, so good with him. :)

My brother, Austin, married a girl, Chelsea, about a month ago, she has two kids.  Grace is almost 3 and Colton is 1.

Riding on the tractor with Daddy.

Monday evening we had a party with the daycare girls and their family. Jaxson had his moments of being scared but we shot off some really big fireworks and he didn't cling to my neck quite so much. He had a great time as usual with the girls. :) He is ready to go back and hang out with them but we have another month so he is going to have to put up with me a bit longer. :)

Swim lessons--A future Olympic swimmer??  He enjoys it for the most part, as long as the water is not in his face or ears. But we are stuck, the other kids are advancing some even swimming and we are still talking about blowing bubbles and trying to float, ha! Everytime he is the only kid leaving with a dry head! :) This time he realized how fun the frog slide is and screamed when it was time to leave...so maybe we are getting somewhere, baby steps. :)

This is what he looks like most of the time! He just watches everyone with this shy/nervous thing he does with trying to put his whole hand in his mouth.  He doesn't follow the instructors directions or Jason or my directions because he is so focused on what everyone else is doing!  I think this is part of his personality, he does a whole lot of observing and learning from watching and then will act.  We really wonder if we are just wasting our money, though. :S  Jason says we just need to buy a pool, ha ha, add it to the "when we win the lottery" list!

Love this crooked grin!

It's been a great week!  Jason has been outside working on projects, love having him home during the week. :)  Looking forward to the 88 degrees tomorrow.  Fun day planned, zoo, great-grandparents farm to help my grandpa with a project, a little decorating in my classroom, some yardwork...we'll see what we get accomplished on that lofty list!
