What a busy month! We took another family vacation (see previous post!) and we enjoyed the Valley Center Fall Festival and last weekend the Valley Center Homecoming. Jaxson's growing like crazy. Such a great kid with a hint of attitude every now and then. :) My log of his funny sayings has fallen off lately. I need to get back on the ball. His favorite words are "Why?" "But why?" "I said, why?" "Actually..." (this is him telling us how it really is even though he just asked us why and wanted our opinion!) "Mommy, why are you doing that?" (grilling hamburgers) My response, because I'm cooking supper. To which he says, "Actually, that is Daddy's grill." What a monkey!!! And his other favorite word is "really". When we tell him "No" to something he asks he says, "But I really, really, really, really want to do that." He knows all 26 of his letters! There have been a couple that he's been working on for a little while, "u" and "w" were tricky. He also would turn his "Z" to look like an "N" and his "M" to look like a "W" and told me he already did that one, ha! He's still loving Sunday school, he's made a new friend, he tells us she's a girl and she loves trucks just like he does, he has no idea what her name is. :) He loves "raccoons" at the Chinese restaurant (crab rangoon). He is obsessed with rhinoceros and talks about them all the time. He even asked for a taco at Taco Bell and when asked if he wanted "Beef or chicken?" He said "No, just a rhinoceros one." He always includes himself in a conversation, "Mommy, Me and Daddy and Jaxson are going to do some work outside." He LOVES working outside with his Daddy. He will get a big dramatic sigh and say, "We've been out here working hard all day." Even though it's only been like 20 minutes. He still loves to sing and dance. We've been hanging out with the William's family (the family who watches him during the week). Those three are inseparable. He tells me all the time that he has favorite friends. The three of them are so cute, I have no doubt they will be friends for life.
This child loves rainbows, always looking for "rain clouds and sunshine at the same time"!
Fall Festival--Riley, Payton, Jaxson, and Avery.
Jaxson, Grayson, and Avery. Grayson was born April 2nd, exactly one month before Jaxson, he has already been diagnosed with Autism. It's so sad, he cried and cried most of the day because it was too crowded and too overwhelming for him. :( They go to the zoo together alot during the week but they aren't able to communicate very well with one another. Such a scary disease, it's like he's trapped inside his body. :'(
Valley Center Homecoming Game--Payton was the attendant for the homecoming queen. She was adorable and did such a great job, pretty cool to be chosen for a 5A school!
Hugs--best buds.
Dance party in the William's garage after the game.
What a great month! October is going to be great, too! This coming weekend we have Kansas's 150th birthday parade, Touch-a-Truck at Lawrence Dumont Stadium (Jaxson LOVED this last year, click here to see!), and a visit from Nana and Papa. Jason and I have a date to the Sugarland concert! So excited! Soon we have a long weekend (because I have conferences) with a trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. And then it's Halloween!
