February

We have been working on getting our addition started.  Our garage is full of building supplies, everything from doors/windows, to studs, to concrete siding, and buckets of screws. Jason has gotten it all cheap off Craig's List.  Crazy how inexpensive it really is going to be!

We also have become church regulars.  We really like our new church, it's a wonderful place and Jaxson LOVES his Sunday school class.  LOVES may be an understatement, ha!  This boy so wants to go to school!!

Speaking of, registration for preschool is Friday, March 9th.  Can't believe my baby is going to be in school!  Jason still wonders if it is a waste of money.  He is meeting all of the academic skills on the 4 year old preschool report card of his friend at daycare.  However, there are so many things he will learn other than academics...  Sharing, making friends other than his daycare friends, listening to other adults, manners, role-playing, listening, fine motor skills...  right?  And he will LOVE it!  He already cries because he can't go to school with the 4 year old, imagine if the 3 yr. old, younger than him, goes to school, too, and he doesn't get to?  He would really be sad.

Jason and I (and my sister and her husband!) are registered for our first competitive 5K on March 24th!  Getting close!  I'm excited!!  And I am registered for a 10K in June, hoping Jason will want to do that one, too.

We got YMCA memberships and we've been spending a lot of family time there and running with friends while Jaxson enjoys the KidZone.  Jason is becoming quite the runner and in less than a month he has passed all of my personal records I've set after a year.  How does he do that!?!?!  Followed by a cheeseburger and french fries, I might add?  :P

And my grandma has been in the hospital for a little over a week.  She has a lot of swelling in her legs and some fluid in her lungs.  The Alzheimers (she doesn't have a diagnosis) continues to progress.  She has great days, moments, and some rough ones.  We see more good days than bad ones when we visit but my grandpa tells stories that are so sad of things she says/does.  Like sitting in the same room with him and calling him on his cell phone to ask him where he is.  Some of the family want to put her in a nursing home.  She was receiving in home hospice care every other day which seemed to be helping relieve pressure on my grandpa.  Praying for both of them and guidance for the decisions that have to be made. :(
