8 1/2 months

I'm trying to convince him he doesn't need to stand on the outside of his walker because he slips when he's in his socks and falls flat on his face when it rolls away! :(

Our latest self-family photo. :)

This child makes the goofiest faces!!!! He always looks like he's a little wild animal!

New things our little man is up to...

He's learned how to click his tongue off the roof of his mouth. He loves to copy us when we make the sound.

When we, his toys, or the radio sings, he bounces his body and babbles along. We can string three sounds together and he will mimic them in pitch and rhythm.

Has always loved watching himself in the mirror but seems to be starting to understand it is him looking back. This week he started moving his hands in slow motion and watching his reflection do the same. One of my books says that generally happens around this time.

Very, very ticklish and full of laughter. Not really new but the sound of his laughter is changing and becoming more grown up.

He has hand signs for being hungry and wanting more. We decided not to do baby sign but it's amazing how they make up their own signs for it anyways and how similar it is to the baby sign language.

He has said Mommy and Daddy, we don't know if it was intentional or not, seems too coincidental not to be but maybe we are just reading more into it. :) (Started this blog update this morning and since then he's said it several times as he came to find us and crawl into our laps...I think it's safe to say he's offically saying two words! :) )

Stringing several different syllables together in his babbling.

He knows when we take off his clothes it is bathtime and he crawls right to the bathroom by himself. It is so cute to watch his little naked bottom crawling so fast and giggling all the way there!

Getting more consistent with kisses and high fives.

He has started attempting to stack blocks and put objects inside of cups. He's pretty good at putting his cars inside of his stacking cups.

Here are a couple videos...first the wrinkle nose I said I'd post last time, and another of him laughing...
