8 Months

Jaxson lost a little weight this month because he is constantly on the move. He is getting harder and harder to contain in any one room because he wants to explore and climb. Here are a couple of photos of his wrinkled nose grin that we love so much. It is hard to capture in a photo but I have a little video clip of it I will post next time.

Jaxson is a very, very happy boy. His favorite thing thing to do is explore. He loves to be on the move crawling and climbing.

He is getting very good at maintaining his balance and controlling his body as he gets back down after climbing. He holds out his hands and carefully lowers himself back on his bottom, it is pretty cute!

Jaxson loves his dog, Daisy. She is so amazing with him too. He can grab and tug on her and put his finger up her nose and in her eye and she just lays there and gives him kisses. We have to watch out for her dangerous tail though. She has no control of it at all and gets so excited and whacks Jaxson in the head! Jaxson tries to grab her tail and paws as she is walking by him or sitting beside him.

Jaxson loves throwing things.

His favorite toy last month was his diaper box. This month it has been Daddy's hats. He gets so excited when Jason is wearing a hat, gets the biggest grin and reaches up to take it off and then plays and plays with it.

Other favorites at 8 months... Jaxson still loves to cuddle when he is tired. He has his days when he just wants Mommy and days when he just wants Daddy. He will bury his little head into our shoulder or chest and suck his little thumb. He also loves to rub his other hand on our neck and pinches the skin together, it hurts! When he is excited he leans over and bites us on the arm, it hurts also! I have a big bruise from a bite yesterday. When I scolded him he just grinned at me, little stinker! He loves to eat. His favorites are applesauce, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes, prunes, bananas. He cannot stand peas and green beans in the baby food jars but likes them when I make them for myself and give him some. He weighs 17 lbs 14 oz and has 6 teeth fully in with a couple more peeking through. We love him very, very much!
