Daddy's Day
Jason is an amazing Daddy. He was so nervous, as I'm sure any father-to-be is, but he is so wonderful at it! He loves Jaxson more than anything and would do absolutely anything for him. It's crazy how you can wonder how a little baby will fit into your life, we were so busy with the life we had built in the years we had before kids. So many projects, making our homes our own. Will we have time to continue all that we love after he is born? Truth, No, ha ha, we have a To Do list that is a full front and back sheet of paper, but it's amazing how unimportant things you once thought as very important can become. Yes, we both still have our hobbies but if we don't get to it, so be it, it can wait another day, we have a little guy to make smile, to take swimming, to go exploring with, read to, feed, and love...our once spotless house is now never spotless, tools and unfinished projects are everywhere you look, half-painted rooms, half-built buildings, half-finished landscaping, half-painted house, ha ha. I love Jason more than anything for being the father that I dreamed he would be. He jumps right in and drops everything he is doing to be here with us and do what has become our new hobby, enjoying our little guy. ☺We have a fun weekend planned for Father's Day. Jason has some building and smoking plans. He wants to finish the roof on the boat hut, get it shingled and a loft built inside to store his smoking woods, he cut up a cherry tree at my parents and a pear tree at his parents over the last couple weeks so he is excited to try them out. And he has found a new recipe he wants to try for smoking pork. I told him he isn't supposed to cook his own meal on Father's Day but he insists and he is amazing at grilling and smoking so I didn't object for too long. ;) We are going to finally get Jaxson's swimming pool filled, we have been waiting and waiting for all this rain to stop so it can be more than a one day event. ☺ We are also going to go check out Tanganika wildlife park or the little kid area at Exploration Place, we haven't decided yet. It will be fun, I'm looking forward to a full weekend at home!
