16 1/2 months

Where to start.... it's been awhile and we've been busy but it's just the same old same old every day it seems. Work and daycare that's our lives, ha ha! Jaxson's starting to put words together into very short phrases. "This block", "That book?", "Daizy woof-woof!" That and this are his two favorite words, he is constantly saying them. It's always so funny cause you never realize the things you often say until they begin saying them. I give him choices for what to wear and what to eat for breakfast. Do you want this shirt or that one? This cereal or that muffin? This or that? He will go through his books and lift one above his head "this" like he's making a choice. It's pretty cute.
He has started hitting. Makes me sad, very sad. He will come up to me for no reason and smack me across the face and then stand back and look at me and wait for a reaction. When he comes up to me, the look on his face is very intentional. Nothing is provoking it, I'm not playing with something he wants, or doing something he doesn't want me to do, he is perfectly happy and just trying to see what I'll do. The daycare person says, "He must have gotten that from Payton (the 3 year old) but she hasn't hit for a long time." Well, he sure as heck didn't get it from home, we don't hit eachother. :( Or TV because our TV is never on. We tell him, hands are for helping not hitting, and Jaxson, that makes me sad....it just encourages him to continue. I put him to bed tonight without a bedtime story, broke my heart but he has to have consequences even if he doesn't quite understand, right?? He is next to impossible to change, he will not sit still and we have to almost physically restrain him to get his diaper and clothes on. Ugh, the challenging behaviors are beginning. :(
He eats and eats and eats. Everything and anything. He loves almost every single vegetable and most fruits, loves them. He will eat raw green and red peppers with nothing on them, steamed broccoli plain, fresh cucumbers, carrots, green beans, peas, onions, tomatoes, really likes to eat that kind of stuff (it's crazy??). He loves his fruit too, can be fresh and sour or canned, he doesn't mind. Loves grapefruit, doesn't need any sugar on it and begs for more and more, loves oranges, strawberries, pineapple, peaches, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, apples, canteloupe, only thing he doesn't like is watermelon and kiwi. If we can keep him loving his water and away from juice and candy except for special treats, this may be the healthiest child alive, LOL!
I have so many photos to download, I will get it done soon I hope.
